JP CENTRE/SOUTH MAIN STREETS PRESENTS FIRST THURSDAYS 2008

July 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Art, Poetry, Music & an Artisan Fair

Each First Thursday of the month businesses along Centre and South Streets are transformed into galleries featuring works from local artists. Open receptions, at each location, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, offer a chance to meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and experience JP's fabulous businesses in an entirely new light. Artworks usually remain on display for the remainder of the month.
6:00-8:00 pm:

30 ART OPENINGS in the CENTRE/SOUTH BUSINESS DISTRICT with music by the JEREMY LYONS on the JP LICKS PATIO and THE MILES DAVIS TRIBUTE BAND and DEIRDRE MONCY on the LORING-GREENOUGH HOUSE LAWN.

An ARTISAN FAIR on the LAWN OF THE CURTIS HALL COMMUNITY CENTER [next to the JP Branch Library] featuring works by the BOSTON HANDMADE artist group.

 
6:30-8:00 pm: "WORD ON THE STREET", Poetry readings featuring
